Virgin Voyages has officially revealed the return of its Eat & Drink Festival for 2026, with this year’s event reimagined as a new “Festival of Senses” concept running on select sailings between 27 August and 28 September 2026.

Now in its fifth year, the fleetwide culinary program is taking a more immersive direction, with new food and drink experiences designed around taste, sound, scent, texture, and spectacle. The updated lineup includes a brand new headline event in The Manor, refreshed menus across multiple venues, new classes, and the return of several sailor favorites.

The festival will once again span all four Virgin Voyages ships, with eligible itineraries covering the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, North Atlantic, Caribbean, Alaska, and the West Coast.

Festival of Senses Becomes the New Theme for 2026

Virgin Voyages is positioning the 2026 Eat & Drink Festival as its most experiential version yet, shifting the focus from standalone tastings and pop ups toward a more immersive, shipwide concept.

Described as a “Festival of Senses,” the event is built around how food and drink can be experienced through more than flavor alone. The line up blends culinary storytelling, interactive spaces, new classes, and returning bookable events, while also tying the festival to the regions each ship is sailing through.

That means Mediterranean voyages on Scarlet Lady, Northern Europe and North Atlantic itineraries on Valiant Lady, Caribbean sailings on Resilient Lady, and Alaska and West Coast voyages on Brilliant Lady will all form part of this limited seasonal run.

A Feast for the Senses “Event” Leads the 2026 Lineup

The biggest new addition for 2026 is A Feast for the Senses, a new main event set to take place in The Manor on each ship.

Virgin Voyages says the space will be transformed into an immersive sensory gallery where short films focused on food and drink are paired with real life tasting moments. As sailors move through the venue, what appears on screen is then brought to life through dishes, drinks, and interactive stations.

Unlike a seated event, this will be designed as a walk through experience with no fixed path and no reservations required, allowing sailors to explore freely and engage with each station at their own pace.

New Menu Offerings Will Roll Out Across Multiple Venues

Alongside the new main event, Virgin Voyages says sailors can also expect refreshed menu offerings across the ship.

The line up points to updated dishes at venues including The Wake and The Dock, with the new menus designed to sit alongside existing sailor favorites rather than replace them entirely.

Virgin Voyages describes the changes as ranging from more theatrical presentations at The Wake to more relaxed shareable bites at The Dock, giving the festival a broader presence beyond ticketed or app bookable events.

That wider ship-wide approach looks to be an important part of this year’s format rather than focusing just on The Galley.

Returning and New Events Confirmed for 2026

Virgin Voyages has also confirmed a mix of returning favorites and new additions as part of the 2026 Eat & Drink Festival lineup.

Sensory Dinner Series

Returning for 2026, the Sensory Dinner Series will once again offer a limited capacity dining experience at The Wake. Each dinner features a four course menu with curated pairings and guided storytelling, hosted by a rotating group of winemakers, brewers, and distillers.

The experience is crafted by the husband and wife duo behind Caputo’s Kitchen, authors of The Flavor Matrix, and remains one of the more intimate options in the lineup, with around 18 to 20 seats per sitting. Bookings will be handled onboard through the Virgin Voyages app.

Color Me Curious

One of the brand new additions for 2026 is Color Me Curious, a three course Sip & Savor dinner at Extra Virgin that pairs each course with a color matched cocktail.

Designed by The Taste Curators, the experience appears to lean heavily into visual presentation as well as flavor, making it one of the more concept driven additions to this year’s program.

Shhh… Speakeasy

The hidden bar experience is also returning, this time with what Virgin Voyages describes as a completely reimagined aesthetic and a newly developed specialty beverage menu.

Shhh… Speakeasy has been one of the better known Eat & Drink Festival experiences in previous years, and its return suggests it remains a strong draw for repeat sailors looking for something a little more exclusive onboard.

“Sea”-Cerone Beer Master Class

Another new addition for 2026 is the “Sea”-Cerone Beer Master Class, a guided 60 minute session hosted in Draught Haus on sea days.

The class will explore beer styles, tasting techniques, and flavor fundamentals through narrative led tastings and expert guidance. Virgin Voyages says sailors will also leave with a branded beer booklet and a partner supplied bar blade.

The Cocktail Book

Debuting during the 2026 festival, The Cocktail Book will pull together recipes and drink concepts inspired by Virgin Voyages’ onboard bars and venues.

Rather than acting as a simple recipe book, it is being positioned as a more design led volume built around the character and personality of each venue, reflecting how the brand wants to extend the onboard beverage experience beyond the sailing itself.

Barrel Aged at Sea

Also new for 2026 is Barrel Aged at Sea, which sees a single barrel of specially selected spirit travel onboard during the festival.

The barrel will be displayed in the Speakeasy throughout the voyage, allowing sailors to follow the aging process as it is influenced by the motion of the ocean. Virgin Voyages says the spirit will later be bottled and released in 2027.

Eligible Scarlet Lady Itineraries

Scarlet Lady’s Eat & Drink Festival voyages focus on the Mediterranean, with departures from Rome and Athens and visits to ports including Mykonos, Dubrovnik, and other major regional destinations.

Eligible Valiant Lady Itineraries

Valiant Lady’s festival voyages cover Northern Europe, the North Atlantic, Canada, and the U.S. Northeast, giving this part of the program a very different regional backdrop.

Eligible Brilliant Lady Itineraries

Brilliant Lady’s lineup combines Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, the California coast, and Mexico, making it the broadest regional mix in the festival program.

Eligible Resilient Lady Itineraries

Resilient Lady’s festival sailings focus on shorter Caribbean routes from Miami, with stops including Key West, Grand Turk, the Dominican Republic, and Bimini.

Overview

Virgin Voyages’ Eat & Drink Festival has steadily grown into one of the brand’s more distinctive seasonal programs, and the 2026 Festival of Senses format looks set to push it even further. With a stronger focus on immersive storytelling, sensory experiences, and ship specific events, this year’s version appears to be less about a few isolated tastings and more about creating a broader culinary atmosphere across the voyage.
