Virgin Voyages has officially revealed the latest details for its 2026 Eat & Drink Festival, with this year’s event reimagined as a “Festival of Senses” running on select sailings between 27 August and 28 September 2026.

Now in its fifth year, the fleetwide culinary program is taking a more immersive direction, with new food and drink experiences designed around taste, sound, scent, texture, and spectacle.

The latest lineup includes a new headline event in The Manor, intimate sensory dinners, a redesigned Speakeasy experience, a new beer tasting class, and permanent menu updates across several onboard restaurants.

The festival will once again span all four Virgin Voyages ships, with eligible itineraries covering the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, North Atlantic, Caribbean, Alaska, and the West Coast.

Festival of Senses Becomes the New Theme for 2026

Virgin Voyages is positioning the 2026 Eat & Drink Festival as its most experiential version yet, shifting the focus from standalone tastings and pop ups toward a more immersive, shipwide concept. Described as a “Festival of Senses,” the event is built around how food and drink can be experienced through more than flavor alone. The lineup blends culinary storytelling, interactive spaces, new classes, and returning bookable events.

It also follows the different regions each ship is sailing through during the festival period.

That means Mediterranean voyages on Scarlet Lady, Northern Europe and North Atlantic itineraries on Valiant Lady, Caribbean sailings on Resilient Lady, and Alaska and West Coast voyages on Brilliant Lady will all form part of this limited seasonal run.

A Feast for the Senses Takes Over The Manor

The biggest new addition for 2026 is A Feast for the Senses, a new main event set to take place in The Manor on each ship. The venue will transform into an immersive sensory gallery where short films focused on food and drink come to life around sailors.

As sailors move freely through the space, cinematic and interactive moments unfold. They can then taste what they have just seen on screen in real life. Each station is designed to encourage participation and engage more than one sense at a time.

Unlike a seated event, there is no fixed route and no reservation required. Sailors can simply enter, explore the stations, and discover the experience at their own pace.

The event is free for all sailors but is bookable in the Virgin Voyages app.

New Restaurant Menus Are a Permanent Change

Alongside the festival events, Virgin Voyages is introducing refreshed menu offerings across several onboard venues. Importantly, these menu updates are not limited to the Eat & Drink Festival. They are permanent changes to the onboard dining lineup and will remain after the festival ends.

The updates include new dishes at venues such as The Wake and The Dock, with new plates joining existing sailor favorites.

At The Wake, the changes lean into the restaurant’s more theatrical style. Meanwhile, The Dock will continue to focus on relaxed and shareable Mediterranean-inspired plates.

The refreshed menus help give the 2026 festival a wider ship-wide presence, but sailors will continue to see the new dishes after the seasonal event concludes.

New and Returning Eat & Drink Festival Experiences

Virgin Voyages has also confirmed a mix of returning sailor favorites and new concepts for the 2026 Eat & Drink Festival.

Sensory Dinner Series – Bookable ($)

The Sensory Dinner Series is a limited and intimate four-course dining experience hosted at The Wake. The menus are created by the husband-and-wife duo behind Caputo’s Kitchen, authors of The Flavor Matrix. Each dinner combines food with carefully selected drinks and a stronger focus on how flavor is perceived through the senses.

A rotating group of winemakers, brewers, and distillers will host the evenings. They will guide sailors through the pairings and share more about each drink during the meal.

Capacity is limited to around 18 to 20 sailors, making this one of the smallest festival experiences. Reservations can be made onboard using the Virgin Voyages Sailor app.

Color Me Curious – Bookable ($)

Color Me Curious is a new three-course Sip & Savor dinner at Extra Virgin. Designed by The Taste Curators, each dish is paired with a color-matched cocktail. The idea is to make the appearance of each course as important to the experience as its flavor.

The dinner is designed to engage the eyes and palate together, with each pairing built around a specific color.

Sailors can book Color Me Curious onboard using the Virgin Voyages Sailor app.

Shhh… Speakeasy – Bookable ($)

The secret Speakeasy experience is returning for 2026 with a completely redesigned look and a newly developed specialty drinks menu. The experience keeps the exclusive format that made previous versions popular with sailors, but Virgin Voyages says the aesthetic has now been fully reimagined.

Sailors can reserve a visit onboard through the app. Phones are surrendered at the door, helping keep what happens inside part of the mystery.

Malt + Method, A Beer Tasting – Bookable ($)

The previously announced beer class is now confirmed as Malt + Method, A Beer Tasting. Hosted in Draught Haus on sea days, the 60-minute guided class explores different beer styles, tasting techniques, and the fundamentals behind flavor. The session uses narrative-led tastings and expert guidance to explain how different beers are made and how sailors can approach tasting them.

Each sailor will also leave with a branded beer booklet and a partner-supplied bar blade.

Malt + Method can be booked onboard using the Virgin Voyages Sailor app.

Eligible Scarlet Lady Itineraries

Scarlet Lady’s Eat & Drink Festival voyages focus on the Mediterranean, with departures from Rome and Athens and visits to ports including Mykonos, Dubrovnik, and other major regional destinations.

Eligible Valiant Lady Itineraries

Valiant Lady’s festival voyages cover Northern Europe, the North Atlantic, Canada, and the U.S. Northeast, giving this part of the program a very different regional backdrop.

Eligible Brilliant Lady Itineraries

Brilliant Lady’s lineup combines Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, the California coast, and Mexico, making it the broadest regional mix in the festival program.

Eligible Resilient Lady Itineraries

Resilient Lady’s festival sailings focus on shorter Caribbean routes from Miami, with stops including Key West, Grand Turk, the Dominican Republic, and Bimini.

Overview

Virgin Voyages’ Eat & Drink Festival has grown into one of the line’s more distinctive seasonal programs, and the 2026 Festival of Senses format expands it further.

This year places more emphasis on immersive storytelling, sensory experiences, intimate dinners, and interactive events. However, the restaurant menu refresh is a permanent change and is not limited to the festival dates.

For sailors already booked on one of the eligible voyages, the festival adds another layer of food and drink experiences to the sailing. Those looking to book can use the itinerary links above to see more details about each voyage.

  1. Rob says:

Are the Festival options offered only once or multiple times per voyage? For example, for the Sensory Dinner, you mention limited to 18-20 sailors, is that offered once or multiple times for more sailors to book and experience? Thanks for any clarification!

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Should be multiple times but the full lineup is only known onboard.

  2. Todd C says:

Do we know the menu changes to the Dock and The Wake?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

No, soon as we hear we’ll post 🙂

  3. Vicki says:

I’m on Brilliant for the Sept 11 Down the Cali Coast – how do I join in this? It looks awesome. Thanks!

  4. Michele Farrow says:

We’re on the Brilliant Lady Down the Cali Coast 11th Sept sailing. This is a great upgrade especially as we’ve lost Astoria due to a delayed departure from Vancouver. Really looking forward to it.

  5. Heiko says:

I was so excited because we plan around The Big Apple to Bermuda on Valiant Sep. 27 – but on virginvoyages.com the cruise is not listed for the Eat and Drink Festival – do you know why?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

This is potentially just an error on their part since they just use a filtered list or it may not be included. It’s hard to tell unfortunately but we have based it off the dates provided in their wording which runs through September 28th. We’ll try and get some clarity on it and have marked it as unconfirmed for now, thanks for flagging.

    2. Rob Sammons says:

Hi we’ve had clarity from Virgin Voyages unfortunately this sailing is not included.

  6. M B Marcus says:

I booked my cruise before news of this event. I am excited to be part of this.
I do have a question, are these events included with the cruise fare?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

The Manor Event and wider menus will be likely included but the classes and dinner series are typically paid. We don’t have full details yet.
