Virgin Voyages appears to have updated dining reservation windows for Legacy Fare bookings earlier than planned. This update was originally set for October 7, 2025, but many sailors noticed changes to their dining dates following maintenance overnight.

Early Update Causes Some Confusion

Emails were sent out to sailors indicating their dining reservation windows had changed. However, for some, the email did not match what they saw in the app or online. This created confusion, especially for voyages overlapping the October 7 cut-off, when Virgin Voyages introduces its new VoyageFair Choices fare structure. It’s likely the early adjustment was made to avoid system overload once the new tiers officially launch.

Dining Boost for Legacy Fare Bookings

As a thank you to those who booked before October 7, Virgin Voyages has applied a dining window upgrade to Legacy fares. This change was expected to go live on October 7 but has now been rolled out early:

As part of other VoyageFair Choices update sailors will need to select a fare type, this ONLY applies to bookings made on October 7th and beyond.

Legacy bookings continue to keep the flexibility policies that applied at the time of booking. The only change is the earlier dining reservation access, now matching the new Premium tier while RockStars remain at 120 days.
