This disembarkation guide covers luggage options, booking departure times, breakfast availability, and key reminders.
Preparing for Disembarkation
Download Your Folio
Before leaving the ship, download your folio from the Virgin Voyages app > Wallet. This includes all charges made during your trip and is handy to look over any discrepancies.
Back-to-Back Sailings
If you’re staying onboard for another voyage (back-to-back sailing or B2B), refer to our dedicated guide for B2B Sailors as this can vary by port.
Luggage Handling
- Self-Carry: If you prefer to keep your luggage with you, you can carry it off the ship. This is ideal if:
- You need more time to pack.
- You’re leaving early in the morning during early morning departure
- You prefer to manage your luggage yourself.
- Luggage Collection: Place your packed luggage outside your cabin by 10pm with a tag attached. Virgin Voyages will collect it and have it waiting for you in the terminal by 8:30am. If you’ve misplaced your luggage tag, visit Sailor Services for a replacement.
Need Help With Luggage?
If you’re exploring the city after disembarking and want to travel light, Virgin Voyages typically recommends using Bounce, a third-party luggage storage service that will retain your luggage before you head to the airport!
Disembarkation Time Slot
Virgin Voyages asks Sailors to book a disembarkation time using the app to better manage the process.You’ll receive an alert toward the end of your voyage to select your preferred time.
- Why Book Early?
- Booking early gives you more choices of time slots.
- Limited availability for each group ensures the terminal doesn’t get overcrowded.
- Important Notes:
- Booking a time is not strictly enforced. Don’t worry if you’re running late or want to leave earlier.
- You can book a time slot from Discover > Shore Things > Final Port
- All Sailors must leave the ship by 10:30 am to comply with local immigration regulations. A ship-wide announcement will remind everyone of this.
- Once you leave the ship, reboarding is not allowed.
Disembarkation Process
Early Morning Departure (7:30–8:30 am)
Head to the disembarkation deck during this time to avoid crowds. Bring all luggage with you as there is no collection service.
It is recommended to choose this option if you have flights before noon to allow enough time to get to the airports.
Other Departures (8:30–10:30 am)
Where possible, adhere to your disembarkation time slot to ensure a smooth flow through the terminal, especially if there’s an immigration process in place. Simply head to the disembarkation deck at your designated time. If you miss your time or need to leave earlier, head to the disembarkation deck as well.
Breakfast Options Before You Leave:
- Razzle Dazzle (Deck 5 Mid): 6:30 am–9:30 am (Booking advised)
- The Wake (Deck 7 Aft): 6:30 am–9:30 am (Booking advised)
- The Galley (Deck 15 Aft): Open until 10:15 am
- Grounds Club (Deck 7 Mid or Deck 15 Aft): Perfect for a quick coffee and pastry if you’re in a rush.
Note: Bottomless Brunch is not available on the final day!
Shore Excursions
Shore Excursions will be available on the final day, including buses to the airport at different times. Depending on your port, some excursions will also visit sites further afield. Contact the team onboard or pre-book your excursion before boarding. This is a convenient way to manage your disembarkation, which will be handled by the onboard team. You don’t need to book a slot with this option.

- Ensure luggage tags remain attached to your bags if you’ve opted for luggage collection.
- Book a disembarkation time slot where possible.
- All Sailors must leave the ship by 10:30 am.
- If you want to book a My Next Virgin Voyage placeholder ‘Get Lost‘ will also be open on the final morning.
