‘Blue Extras’ (sometimes known as BE) is the latest loyalty benefit from Virgin Voyages designed for loyal sailors in the Sailing Club or those matching with eligible programs.

Blue Extras will be available on any sailing through October 31st 2025 at this time.

How to get Blue Extras

Level Translation
Sail 2 Times Sail twice on an eligible fare and receive Blue Extras on your third and fourth sailing
Sailing Club Status Match You’re at a qualifying loyalty level with another cruise line or eligible program and have contacted Virgin Voyages to verify and match. Those matching in will instantly receive Blue Extras.

1. Dedicated Sailor Services Support

The Sailing Club ensures that you receive personalized support before you board and throughout your journey. Upon boarding, you’ll receive a letter containing a schedule. The dedicated Sailing Club support staff availability will be at Sailor Services on deck 5. Whether you have questions, need assistance with reservations, or require any other support, the Sailing Club staff will be there to cater to your needs.

2. Exclusive Cocktail Event

Indulge in an exclusive cocktail event held in the vibrant atmosphere of On the Rocks or if weather allows The Perch. As you qualify for Deep Blue Extras, you’ll have the opportunity to mingle with the Happenings Cast, fellow sailors, and other privileged guests. Enjoy free-flowing drinks, embrace the energy of the occasion, and create unforgettable memories while celebrating your voyage in style. Note: If you are sailing with a cabin mate who isn’t part of the club they are eligible to go to the event.

Look out for a letter in your cabin for when this will be on your voyage, typically it will be at 5:30PM midway through your voyage.

3. Free Laundry Service

Enjoy the convenience of having a bag of laundry taken care of during your voyage. This perk allows you to keep your wardrobe fresh and ready for each day’s adventures, ensuring that you always feel your best on board.

7. One Coffee Credit Per Day

For all the coffee aficionados, Blue Extras offers a delightful perk. You’ll receive one coffee credit per sailor, redeemable at Grounds Club, Grounds Club Too or applicable bars & restaurants. Treat yourself to a cup of freshly brewed coffee, savor the aroma, and start your mornings with a caffeine kick that energizes your day at sea. Note: Alcoholic coffee cocktails not included and you can not use this perk at Ship Eats: Room Service.

Note: Loyalty Eligibility and Exceptions

While the Blue Extras benefits scheme (B.E) offers these great benefits,  some cruises that are booked aren’t eligible. Those with access keys (either gifted cruises, casino comp cruises or those bought with airmails or points) or reduced voyages priced at $100 or less per night may not earn or receive loyalty benefits.

Where on my profile will it show Blue Extra status? I was matched last year, have the emails confirming it, but can’t find anything in my profile/app, etc that shows it.. want to ensure the perks are there when we board next week…

    1. Rob Sammons says:

It should show in the add ons section, if not get it in writing from sailor services

      1. Chris says:

Ahh, there it is. Took a bit if digging, but you’re right, buried in the Add On section.
        Thanks so much!

  2. Marc says:

I’ve attained Blue Extras through Status Match offer and will be using it on my first Virgin voyage this Spring. After completing this trip, will Virgin consider it my 3rd sailing on the path to Deep Blue Extras or will I still have to complete 4 actual sailings before I can increase in status?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Hey Marc, no you have to earn your way up to 5 for Deep Blue Extras

    2. Kayla says:

I am sailing in May and this will be my 3rd sailing. I don’t see my blue extras which I believe should be there for this 3rd sailing. I looked at the add on area. What am I looking for? ie coffee credit, laundry service?

      1. Rob Sammons says:

You should have an add-on that says “Blue Extras”, worth double checking with sailor services and get it in writing!

  3. Lauren says:

Can you use the Blue Extras special coffee credit for chai latte or hot chocolate? Thanks!

    1. Rob Sammons says:

My understanding is it should work for any drink $6 or below but best to confirm on board as the policy is ever changing, for example boba used to be included now isn’t

  4. Sarah says:

I am trying to understand the perks for my upcoming cruise in March. My profile shows a “Sea-Blazer” Badge. Which status does this coincide with?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Does your profile show sea blazer in purple? Sea blazer is just for those who sailed in 2021 and you’d get Deep Blue Extras

There’s full info on the club here https://vvinsider.com/guides-and-faqs/guide/sailing-club/

  5. Ravina says:

Are the Blue Extras benefit per cabin or per sailor in a cabin? My husband and I both might have Sailing Club Status Match, which we will apply for. Thanks!

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Only the cocktail hour is per cabin. It’s best to match both of you separately if you can

      1. Lauren says:

So if both sailors have Blue Extras, then each would get 1 of each benefit? For example, we would each get a laundry service?

Thank you so much. This article is most informative & helpful.
